Hedflux is the brain child of DJ/Producer Steve Young.

Driven towards creating a new flavour of high energy tech-infused breakbeat, Hedflux dropped his début track "Music is my Weapon" [Sinister] in March 2008. The tune gained widespread support, firmly establishing the Hedflux sound, and earning him DJ residencies at Psychedelic Breakdown in Peterborough, STUFF and Twisted Skunk in Norwich, and a guest mix on the Annie Nightingale show on BBC Radio 1.

His remix of Sam Hell's "Gunclub" [Sinister] made big waves throughout the tech-funk fraternity, enjoying a spell in the Beatport Breaks 1 spot and the charts of heavyweight Breaks and Electro DJ's including Peter Paul, FarTooLoud and Miles Dyson. His final release in 2008 "Nonstop" [Breakin Even] is a cheeky yet relentless party tune paying homage to the early days of rave culture (see video below - courtesy of The Timestretchers).

Hedflux has now joined the ranks of Broken Robot Records - a new label from FarTooLoud and RMS focusing on quality psychedelic dance music - and Archangel^UK - a leading electronic music organisation and artist agency.
